  • Map is composed of combined sections cut from sheets 8 and 11 of Army Mapping Service series M592, with annotations marking the movements and actions of the U.S. 10th Mountain Division, IV Corps, Fifth Army from Feb 16 through May 2, 1945 during the Italian Campaign of World War II. Markings use colored lines and arrows to show actions, dates, times, and lines of departure of the 85th, 86th, and 87th Infantry Regiments composing the 10th Mountain Division
  • On paper slip with map: "Reproduced by JOHN P. LITCHFIELD, former CAPT. INF. AUS, G-3 section, 10th MTN. DIV. from original map overlays drawn by former T/SGT. ARMAND CASINI, G-3 section, of the Italian operations of the 10th MTN. DIV., part of IV CORPS, 5th ARMY, DEC. 1944 - MAY 2, 1943."
