Biographical or historical data

Harrison L. Coleman was born on December 1, 1924 and joined the Army on March 18, 1942. He received his basic training at Fort Reno, Okla. before joining the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. where he was assigned to Company B of the 86th Infantry Regiment. Coleman participated in the night assault on Riva Ridge and was wounded in action at Sassomolare on March 4, 1945. He has also served as Southeast Chapter President (1984-1986), and Executive Director (1992-1998) of the National Association of the 10th Mountain DIvision.
